Obituary

Jonathan Wayne Akers, 38, of Des Moines, Wash., passed away on May 13, 2010. He was born on Jan. 2, 1972, to Bob and Marilyn Akers in Newton.

He married Caroline Safari of Kent, Wash., on July 31, 2000. He is survived by his loving wife Caroline and precious daughter Yazmin, of the home; parents, Bob and Marilyn Akers of Newton; brother, Brian and wife Sreymom Akers of Seattle; father-in-law, Ali Safari of Los Angeles; father-in-law, German Fricke; brother-in-law Steven and wife Kim Fricke; sister-in-law, Megan Fricke, all of Kent; grandmother, Virginia Melson of Bentley; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by mother-in-law, DeAnna Fricke; grandparents, Wayne and Mabel Akers and Wesley Melson.

Visitation and funeral services were in May in Kent.
