John Kerr Ramsey

Mr. Ramsey entered the employ of the Santa Fe as a caller in 1894 and came to Newton from Nickerson, when the railroad shops were transferred here in 1899. For a number of years he was the oldest western division engineer in service, his seniority record dating back to 1901. He will be remembered as friendly, cheerful disposition and was remembered by travelers as the engineer on the California Limited train for many years.
