Barnhisel, Elizabeth

History

Her childhood days were spent at the parental home, receiving her education in the public schools and the Lombard university at Galesburg, Ill. For several years she was a teacher in the public schools.

She was married to F. L. Barnhisel September 15, 1870,in Fairfield , Iowa. They resided on a farm near Galesburg, coming to Kansas in 1874, when they took up a homestead two miles southwest of Newton, Kansas, where they continued to reside for thirty two years. In 1906 they moved to Newton. Three children one died in infancy, Rae L and Clara S.
