Margaret Hoisington, 65, Long Beach, Calif., a native of Newton died Tuesday in Long Beach.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Petersen Funeral Home with Rev. Louis Dale officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 4, 1901, the daughter of Col. and Mrs. Perry Milo Hoisington. She was a retired teacher having first taught in the Chase County Community High School then in the Paak Hok Tung School for western children in Canton, China. She was also former dean of women and assistant professor of psychology at Hastings (Neb.) College, served as a director of the women's department of the Fourth Presbyterian Church, Chicago; was a counselor in the Wichita Public Schools, and for the last 20 years of her professional career she was a psychiatric social worker with the Long Beach Public Schools.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
