Florence Rowland

Last evening at 9:30 o'clock Miss Florence Rowland, the oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Rowland, succumbed to heart failure and her soul passed to its eternal rest. The little one had been ill about a month only and her death came at a time when the sorrow stricken parents were beginning to discover encouraging features in her conditions. About Christmas Miss Florence contracted a severe cold and while coughing violently ruptured some of the valves in her heart. From this resulted heart trouble which, despite all that laving parents and the best medical skill available could do, resulted in her death last evening. Miss Florence was a bright winsome girl who was beloved by all that knew her. She was eight years old the 23rd day of last December and was progressing nicely in her studies at school where she was a general favorite with teachers and school mates. Her sudden taking-away is a severe blow to the parents to whom the sympathy of the community is extended during the hours of their sad affliction.
