Frieda Pankratz Suderman

Frieda Pankratz Suderman, 94, teacher, died Saturday (Dec. 25, 1999) at Bethesda Home in Goessel. She was born March 24, 1905, near Goessel to Cornelius and Margaretha (Regier) Pankratz. She married Karl Suderman June 5, 1930, in Moundridge. He preceded her in death in 1986. She was a member of First Mennonite Church in Hillsboro. Survivors include: three brothers, Gilbert Pankratz of Hesston, Ronald Pankratz of Waukegan, Ill., and Elbert Pankratz of Arvada, Colo.; and two sisters, Elizabeth Zuercher of Whitewater and Fern Ruth of North Newton. She also was preceded in death by one brother, Waldo Pankratz; and three sisters, Marie Will, Margaret Ash and Esther Pankratz. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Mennonite Church in Hillsboro with Pastor Ruth Penner officiating. Burial will be in the Haven of Rest Cemetery in rural Hillsboro. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hillsboro Memorial Chapel. Memorials have been established with Bethesda Home in care of the funeral home.
