Alda (Schmidt) Koehn

Alda (Schmidt) Koehn, 94, of Moundridge died Friday (Dec. 11, 1998) at Mercy Hospital in Moundridge.

She was born Jan. 30, 1904 in Halstead to Henry and Eva (Becker) Schmidt. On Nov. 26, 1953, she married Jonas W. Koehn in Coltry, Okla. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include sons William Koehn and Tobe Koehn, both of Burns, and Aaron Koehn of Galva; daughters Susie (Mrs. Edwin B.) and Amanda Wedel, both of Moundridge; brothers, Albert Schmidt of Moundridge; sister-in-law Esther Koehn of Moundridge; a nephew, Jay Allen Boehs of Kaw City, Okla; and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, children Fred Koehn, Nettie Jantz and Dora Koehn.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Gospel Mennonite Church. Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery in rural Galva. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Harder-Kaufman Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be sent to Mercy Hospital, Moundridge, in care of the funeral home.
