Silvan Lee Caldwell

Silvan Lee Caldwell, 91, of Hesston, boiler maker and pipefitter for the oil industry who retired in 1980 and moved to Hesston, died Sunday (June 6, 1999) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston. He was born May 15, 1908, in Duncan, Okla., to James and Sarah Elizabeth (Bennett) Caldwell. He married Thelma LeOra Hostetler Jan. 18, 1968, in Miami, Okla. She preceded him in death April 8, 1999. He was a member of Eagles Lodge in Great Bend. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He also was preceded in death by five brothers and six sisters. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hesston Cemetery with the Rev. Mary Dyck officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home in Hesston. Memorials have been established with Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home.
