Westfall, George A. Jr.

Dr. George A. Westfall, Jr., 42, prominent Halstead physician died Saturday, July 22, 1961 in the Halstead Hospital after a long illness. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

He was born February 8, 1919 at Harper, Kansas. He had been a resident of Halstead and staff member of the Halstead Hospital for the past 12 years. He graduated from the University of Kansas Medical School in 1944. He belonged to the Kansas Medical Society; Harvey County Medical Society; the AMA American Diabetic Association; Mississippi Valley Medical Association; American Geriatrics Association; American Hemotology Society; New York Academy Science and Medicine; the Elks Lodge of Newton and was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors: the widow of the home, Edna; daughter, Marcia Ann of the home; son George A. Westfall III of the home; his mother, Mrs. Della Westfall, Halstead; brother, Dr. Cad B. Westfall, Fort Worth, Texas.
