Margaret G Spore

Mrs. Margaret G. Spore, 85, formerly of Route #1, Newton, died Friday night at the Halstead Nursing Center.

She was born November 25, 1889, in Gera, Germany. She moved to Hesston from Germany when she was 18 years old. She married Charles S. Spore, July 18, 1918, and they were residents of Macon Township all of their married life. Mr. Spore died March 10. 1951 and Mrs. Spore moved to Newton where she lived at 516 East 10th until moving to the home of her son two and one-half years ago.

She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.

Survivors: one son, Arnold K, Route 1, Newton; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Lt. Cecil, September 19, 1944 in Germany and Norman, December 23, 1955.

Services will be held Tuesday at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead. Burial will be in the Halstead Cemetery.
