Clark, Jean A.

Jean Ann Clark, 50, Halstead, died Saturday, November 7, 1998 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, Wichita.
She was born October 13, 1948 at Humboldt, Nebraska, the daughter of Rev. Wilmer H. ane Pauline M. Hefty Nelson. She was a 1966 graduate of Newton Nigh School and graduated from Bethel Hospital School of Nursing in 1971. She received her bachelor of science degree in nursing from College of St. Francis. She was a former assistant director of nursing at Halstead Hospital and also wortked as a floor supervisor at Weld County General Hospital in Greeley, Colorado. She was currently employed by Via Christi Regional Medical Center in Wichita as an RN, B.S., CIC-Cordinator Infection Control.

She was a member of Burrton United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School; a past president of the Assocition of Practitioners in Infection Control Wichita Chapter and a board member of Friends of Forest Park.

She married Carroll W. Clark in Greeley, Colorado on October 14, 1972. He survives. Other survivors: here mother, Newton; two daughters, Jenny Gruhl, Wichita; Laura Clark, Halstead; brother, the Rev. Roy E. Nelson, Wichita; three sisters, Nance N. Davis, Burns; Linda K. Nelson, Newton; and Ethel R. Smith, Valley Center. She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Wilmer H. Nelson.

Funeral was Wednesday at Salem United Methodist Church, Newton. Burial was in Restlawn Garden of Memory, Newton.
