Obituary

Ruth A. Balch, 82, Kansas City, Missouri, mother to Prudence Thornton, Burrton, died Sunday, July 2, 1995 at her home.

She was born June 5, 1913 at Spearville, the daughter of John and Juliana Jenisch Habiger. She was a resident of Wichita and the Kansas City area for most of her life.

She married Owen H. Balch. He preceded her in death. Other survivors: son, Owen J. Balch, Columbus, Ohio; another daughter, Pricilla Mitchell, Kansas City, Missouri; brother, Ed Habiger, Spearville; two sisters, Leona and Dora Witsken, both of Dodge City; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral was July 5, Wednesday, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Overland Park. Graveside service will be Friday July 7 in the Greenwood Cemetery, Newton, with Father Mike Hawken presiding. Memorials to Hospice.
