Paul D Freeburg

Paul D. Freeburg, 81, Halstead, died Sunday February 19, 1995 at Halstead Hospsital, Halstead. He was born September 10, 1913 at Halstead, the son of John August and Elna Nelson Freeburg. A Halstead resident for the past 53 years, moving from McPherson, he was a retired farmer and saw operator.

He married Mary Ruth Swengel at Concordia on April 13, 1942. She died February 6, 1991. Survivors include sons David Freeburg, Halstead and Harold Smith, Wichita; daughters, Judy Freeburg, Halstead and Ruth Pannell, Wichita; a brother, Carl Freeburg, McPherson; sisters, Esther Shumate, Spencer, Iowa and Anna Carol Swanson, Sun City, Arizona; 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral will be Thursday, February 23 at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead with the Rev. James A. Mardock presiding. Burial will be in Halstead Cemetery. Memorial has been established with the American Diaabetes Association.
