Lucile Foster Eshelman, 93, of Newton died Saturday, July 10, 2010, at Newton Medical center. She was born April 12, 1917, on a farm southwest of Newton to Lillian Cushing and Roland C. Foster. She married Orville Eshelman of Sedgwick March 20, 1939. They celebrated their 70th anniversary last year just a few months before Orville died. She worked at home during the years her two sons were growing up. In later yars she worked in the men's department at Henry's clothing store in Wichita where she developed a large and appreciative clientale. Survivors include sons, Jon (Judy) Eshelman of Tulsa, Okla., and David of Wichita; five grandchildren; and seven great grand children. Her husband, parents and brother Cecil Foster preceded her in death. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m., fiday, July 16 at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 17 at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James W. Anderson presiding. burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton. Memorials may be given to the First Presbyterian Church Endowment Fund or Boy Scout Troop #123 at the First Presbyterian Chuch in Newton.
