Willard E. Graber, 81, Hesston, father of Leland R. Graber, Halstead, died Thursday, February 8, 1996 at Schowalter Villa, Hesston. He was born November 8, 1914 at Pretty Prairie, the son of John R. and Lizzy Stucky Graber. He was a self-employed farmer in the Pretty Prairie and Halstead areas from 1937 to 1962, and was a retired clerk from Graber's Hardward in Newton. Following his retirement in 1976, he drove the Senior Taxi. He was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Newton and a member in the Mennonite Men's Chorus for a number of years.

On May 16, 1937, he married Linda Graber at Pretty Prairie. She died October 14, 1982. On December 28, 1983, he married Martha Unrau Klopper at Newton. She survives.

Other survivors include daughters, Elaine Dean, Newton; Norma Yoder, Escanaba, Michigan and Rosetta Mae Gregg, Las Cruces, New Mexico; stepdaughters, Marlene Schmidt, Newton and Wanda Lowenstein, Kansas City, Missouri; brother, R. A. Graber, Hesston; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchidren. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Irvin R. Grber, Bernard Graber, Herman R. Graber, Jake A. Graber and Eldon Graber and a grandson, Leland R. Graber.

Funeral was Monday February 12 at the First Mennonite Church in Newton . Burial was in Restlawn Gardens of Memory, Rural Newton
