Catherine (Schilling) Brown

Catherine Brown, 105, Halstead, died Monday, January 13, 1997 at Dillons Living Center, Hutchinson. She was born November 19, 1891 at Halstead, the daughter of Mike and Christina Billhardt Schilling. A lifetime resident of Halstead, moving to Dillons Living Center in 1993, she was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methhodist Church in Halstead.

On Janury 25, 1911, she married Andrew Brown at Newton. He died May 28, 1956. Survivors: daughters, Rebecca Unruh, Halstead; Lois Scott, Hutchinson; sister, Rose Goff, Sun City, Arizona; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Mabel Ewy who died February 29, 1992; granddaughter, Kimberly Sue Wilson; sister, Anna Goff and brothers, Rudolph, Adolph, Albert and Mike Schilling.

Services were held Thursday, Janury 16 at First United Methodist Church, Halstead. Burial was in Halstead Cemetery.
