Theodore H J Teten

Theodore H. J. Teten, 92, Hesston, formerly of Burrton, died Sunday, January 12, 1997 at Columbia Halstead Hospital in Halstead. He was born Decembere 27, 1904 at Albert, Kansas, the son of Johann Heinrich and Margaretta Elizabeth Ekoff Teten. A Burrton resident siince 1911, moving to Schowalter Villa in Hesston five and a half years ago, he was a retired operations engineer for Panhandle Estern Pipeline Company.

He was a member of the Burrton Christian Church and American Letion Post 196, Burrton.

On March 11, 1945, he married Lillian Alice Montford at Burrton. She died February 12, 1983.

Survivors: son, Johann H. Teten, Tuttle, Oklahoma; daughter, Elizaabeth Blocksome, Robins, Iowa and six grandchildren.

Funeral was January 15 at the Burrton Christian Church, Burrton, with the Rev. James Gundy presiding. Burial was in Burrton Cemetery.
