Archie "A. J." Arterburn

Archie "A.J." Arterburn, 77, Hesston, died Sunday, March 7, 1999 at Halstead Hospital. He was born August 7, 1921 at rural Renfro, Oklahoma, the son of Cleo and Margaret Wright Arterburn. He was a graduate of Caldwell High School and attended Clemson University. A Hesston resident, he was owner and operator of Mobil Home Rentals and the manager of Country storaage, both at Hesston and he had been previously employed by Prestressed Concrete, Newton. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WW II.

On October 13, 1962, he married Marlene K. Perkins at Newton. She survives. Other survivors: son, Samuel F. Wilmore, Whitewater; six daughters, Shirley Eichleberger, Tyler, Texas; Dixie Lee Neff, West Jordan, Utah; and Pat, Betty; Petty and Sue, addresses unknown; two sisters, Phyllis Hymes, ElCentral, California; and Mary Jane Segraves, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Services were Wednesday, at Peterson Funeral home. Memorials to Caldwell High School Scholarships.
