Edith M. Armfield

Edith M. Armfield, 76, died December 6, 2007 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. She was born February 25, 1931 in Sedgwick, the daughter of James Walter and Anna Bertha Margareth Passeman Milne. A resident of Hesston, formerly a lifetime resident of Sedgwick, she was the co-owner and operator of the Kansas Crop Service and a homemaker.

She belonged to Plymouth Congregational Church, Sedgwick and the Schowalter Spiritual Life Committee, Hesston.

On December 16, 1949, she married William S. Armfield in Sedgwick. He survives.

Other survivors: son, Doug, Wichita; three brothers, Walter Milne, Newton; Orville Milne, Sedgwick and James Milne, Edmund, Oklahoma and two grandsons. She was preceded in death by a brother, Oren Milne and a sister, Dorothy Senn.

Funeral will be Tuesday at Plymouth Congregational Church, Sedgwick with Pastor Craig Reynolds and the Rev. Nancy Walker presiding. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, Kansas.
