Alfred C. Robison was born in the state of Ohio, on August 25, 1838. Here he grew to manhood and for several years was engaged in the profession of public school teaching. He was united in marriage to Mariah H. Martin at Pinkneyville, Illinois, on September 4, 1862. To this union were born four children, three of whom survive him. Thje living children are, Joe B. Robison of Sparks, Okla., Mrs. O.W. Patterson of Hamilton, New york, and James E. Robison of Newton. A daughter Mrs. E. W. Larson, passed away in 1891 at Lincoln, Nebraska.

Mr. and Mrs. Robison came to Newton about eight years ago where they made their home and where Mrs. Robison passed away on January 5, 1926. Mr. Robison had been staying in the Bethel Home for the Aged, where he passed away on Monday evening, December 20.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the Carter funeral Home and were conducted by Rev. D. H. Switzer. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery.
