Obituary

Lloyd Marvin Clason, 85, Sedgwick, died November 8, 2000 at the Halstead Hospital. He was born on February 20, 1915 at Lamar, Colorado, son of Will A. and Dollie C. Burton Clason.

On July 28, 1934, he married Stella Mae Mann at Osceola, Missouri. She preceded him in death on November 24, 1977.

He was a retired mechanic and welder. He was a former resident of Halstad and former city councilman and police judge at Pawnee Rock. He was a member of the Sedgwick Baptist Church.

Survivors: three daughters, Elsie May Baxter, Sedgwick; Joyce Ann Smiley, Emporia; and Laurel Glee Herrington, Olathe; 11 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 2 step-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dollie Lenora Clason; four brothers, Ralph Hudson Clason, Walter Adelbert Clason; Wilbur Burton Clason and Willis Vincent Clason; two sisters, Sarah Evalena Molyneux and Elsie Mae Morton.

Services were held at the Sedgwick Baptist Church November 13, 2000. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
