Winona C (Huffman) Jones

Winona C. Jones, 87, Burrton, died Sunday, March 25, 2001 at Halstead Hospital. She was born January 4, 1914 at Jetmore, daughter of Andrew S. and Marleah M. Pachen Pearson. She married Frederick Louis Jones at Hutchinson on March 24, 1946. He died May 24, 1997. She was a homemaker and a member of the Burrton Christian Church, Past Matron and 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 5, Newton; Aurora Club; Olivettes and Burrton PTA, all of Burrton. Survivors: two daughters, Marleah I Jones, Burrton and Candace L. Bazil, Bath, Iowa; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brothers, Andrew S. Pearson Jr., and a sister, Virginia Barnes. Services were held March 20 at Burrton Christian Church. Burial w as in Burrton Cemetery.
