Angeline M. (Malone) Schuler

Angeline M. Schuler, 87, sister of Dr. Eugene Malone, Halsted, died February 6, 2003 at her home in Newton. She was born April 5, 1915 in Rice Couonty, the daughter of Matthew H. and Mary P. Barry Malone. She had worked as a health care worker for 40 years at area hospitals and clinics, retiring in 1989.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church; the Church's Altar Society; Daughters of Isabella and Harvey County Extension Homemakers, all of Newton.

On October 29, 1936 she married Dale H. Shuler at Chase. He died Maarch 10, 1976.

Other survivors include four daughters, Mary Ann Giffin and Joan Olson, both of Wichita; Nancy Roberts, Rogers, Arkansas and Norma Carlson, Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Isabel Moran, MdCracken and Loretta Forshee, Hutchinson; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Mark Malone; Phillip Malone; Frank Malone; James Malone and John Malone and a sister, Ruth Gales.

Rosary was Sunday. The funeral was held Monday morning at the Church in Newton. Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery, Newton.
