Peter A Friesen

Peter A. Friesen was born August 22, 1882 in Berdjanks, South Russia. He was the son of Abraham C. and Helena Friesen. The famiily imigrated to the United States, settling in Kansas north of Burrton. In 1891, Peter was baptized at the Burrton Mennonite Church and became a charger member. Throughout the years he maintained a strong belief in the Mennonite Doctrine. Most of his aduot life was spent on farms in the area of Burrton, Buhler, Moundridge and Newton.

Preceding Peter in death, which occured January 11, 1968 at Goessel, Kansas, were his brothers, Abraham and Henry and a sister, Helena Froese. Surviving him are his sisters, Mrs. C. C. Epp, (C. C.)Hutchinson and Mrs. H. P. (Katie A.) Krehbiel of Newton.

He was laid to rest at the side of his parents in the Burrton Cemetery. His age was 85 yers and 4 months.
