Mrs. Lee Wilson (Janice), 27, was killed instantly and her eight month old daughter critically injured in a car-truck crash at the Farmers Corner Intersection, north of Halstead on Tuesday afternoon at 2:50 p.m. Mrs. Wilson was northbound on the county road and apparently pulled into the path of the semi-truck pulling two trailer units, which was traveling east on US 50. The truck struck the car on the driver side, caving it into the center of the vehicle. The small child suffered massive head injuries when she was thrown from the car. As of Wednesday evening, she was still on the critical list at Halstead Hospital.

Mrs. Wilson was the former Janice Scott, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. John Scott, she attended the Burrton schools and was living at the time of her death on the John Scott farm near the Harvey County Park.

Survivors: the widower; another daughter, Judy, of the home; her parents, Mr. & Mrs. John B. Scott, Haven; brothers, Michael and Dick, Haven; sisters, Mrs. Kaye Wright, Great Bend; Sherry Scott, Emporia; Peggy and Cindy Scott, Haven; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Catherine Brown, Halstead; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Bessie Scott, Halstead.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Halsted Methodist Church, November 7. Burial will be in the Halstead Cemetery.
