Obituary

Oliver William Baker, 62, died Thursday morning, September 30, 1971 at his home after a sudden illness. He was born September 15, 1909 in Valley Township and married Frances Commer on September 4, 1932 in Valley Township. A farmer and stockkman, he was a lifetime resident of the Burrton area.

He was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.

Survivors include the widow; son William Robert, Pampa, Texas; daughters, Mrs. Jane Edwards, Wichita; Mrs. DeeAnn Holeman, Cornwell, New York; brother, Robert, Wichita and 9 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held October 2 at the Church with Rev. James Townson officiating. Burial was in the Burrton Cemetery.
