Donald Lee Boese, 71, Cameron, Texas, fought a good and brave fight, after battling a rare lymphoma cancer and other health complications, he went to be with Jesus while surrounded by his family on December 13, 2012. He was born August 6, 2941 in Burns, Kansas to Andrew and Margaret Adrian Boese. On March 10, 1962 he married Sherry Mae Heginbottom in St. Charles, Missouri. Don great up working on a farm and began his great adventures when he became employed with American Airlines, where he worked for over 38 years, starting in Chicago, Illinois; transferring to St. Louis, Missouri and later to Austin, Texas.
After retiring in 1997, he enjoyed puttering around on the farm, helping others on their farms and visiting with family and friends, whether he went into town or he was sitting on the front porch at home in the country. He loved telling stories and sharing his years of wisdom with all of us.
He also loved going to small town Friday night football games. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to all.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Mae Boese and three daughters, Suzette Swoverland (Kirk) and her daughter, Morgan Chamberless of Plano, Texas; Deatra Boese Draper (Marc) and her son, Dustin Boese and Dustin's daughter, Madison "Maddie" Boese of Austin, Texas and Arthenia Ferkany (Patrick) and their children, Andrew Jefferson (A.J.) and Lily of Austin.
He is also survived by his brother, Ray A. Boese of Wichita and two sisters, Patricia Ford of North Newton and Florine Tripp of Jefferson City, Mo. He is preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Margaret.
Funeral services will be December 21 at Broadway Funeral Home, Newton. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery/
