Elizabeth Dester Peters

   Elizabeth Dester Peters was born in Keota, Iowa in  December 25, 1872.   She died February 2, 1913. Her father died when she was nine years old.  She and her mother and sibliings came to Kansas five years later.  She attended the public school and later was one of the first lady graduates from the Halstead Mennonite Seminary.  She married John C. Peters in 1898.  They lived in Plum Coalee, Manitoba and Deer Creek, Oklahoma.  She was a member of the Halstead Mennonite Church.
   Elizabeth's husband was pastor at the Mennonite Church at Moundridge.  Her funeral was in Halstead.

   Other survivors were siblings, Anna, Henry and Jacob Dester.
