Larry L. Shirk, 64, died Friday, September 6, 2013 at St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita. He was born January 17, 1949 at Newton to Lester Lee and Phyllis Diane Purkey Shirk. both are deceased.
He was a retired nuclear medicine technician at Via Christ St. Francis, a member of the Kansas Society of Radiological technologists and served as an official scorer for the National Baseball Congress Tournament for over 20 years.
Survivors: son, Ryan (Tonia) Shirk, Wichita; grandchildren; Tanner J., Reanne C. and Carlee R. Shirk, all of Wichita; brothers, Jeff Shirk, Wichita; Lanny (Terrie) Shirk, Midlothian, Texas; nephew Zach Shirk and niece Keaton Shirk.
Graveside services were Tuesday, September 120. 2013 at Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick with Rev. Bill Eichelberger officiating. Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Assoociation in care of Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead.
