Gail Ann Cainn Corfman, 67, died Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center in Wichita. She was born December 18, 1945 at Mount Orab, Ohio to Billy E. and Lenora S. Reddig Cain. On July 3, 1965 she married Gene Corfman in Salina and he survives of the home.
Gail and Gene moved to Newton from Kansas City in 1988. Gail was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Newton. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. Gail enjoyed her dogs, especially her Teddy Bear. She formerly raised and showed Siberian Huskies. She also enjoyed relaxing with crafts and painting and also enjoyed tending her flower beds around the house.
Gail is survived by her husband of 48 years, Gene Corfman of Newton; her daughter and son-in-law, Mindy and Enrique Hernandez and their son, Antonio of Newton. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Jordan Brooks.
Funeral service will be Friday, September 20 at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Aaron Filipek presiding. The family suggests casual dress for the service. Burial will be in Whitewater Cemetery Whitewater, Kansas.
