   Viola M. "Vi" Nachtigal, 83, went to be with  her heavenly Father Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Newton Presbyterian Manor.  She was born August 10, 1930 in Goessel to John and Anna Franz Woelk.  On March 17, 1950 she married Virgil J. Nachtigal.  He preceded her in death on June 19, 2009.  She was a member of First Mannonite Church in Newton and attended St. Luke Evangelical Church with her family.

   She worked as a mail clerk in the former Herald Book and Printing Company.  She ejoyed spendiing time crochetiing, knitting, attending family picnics and listening to music, especially country and western and Christian music.  She loved living hear the park where she could watch the ducks and geese and spend time with her neighbors.

   Survivors: two sons; Kelly (Gale) of Newton and Lonnie of Melbourne, Florida; one daughter, Becky (Bob) Davidson of Newton; two brothers, LeRoy (Marcella) Woelk and Charles (Mary Ann) both of Goessel; step-mother, Ruth Schmidt of North Newton; two granddaughters; six great grandchildren; brother Harry (Emily) Nachtigal of Hutchinson.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one  daughter, Randyln.

Services wer  held October 30 at St. Luke Evangelical Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
