Phyliss L. Botterweck

Phyliss L. Botterweck, 67, 614 E. 11th, homemaker, died Friday (June 19, 1998) at Columbia Wesley Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 21, 1931, in Newton to William and Vivian (Carter) Sheffler. She married Harold Botterweck on March 2, 1948, in Newton. He survives of Newton.

Other survivors include: two sons, Dennis Botterweck and Terry Botterweck, both of Newton; four brothers, Keith Sheffler of Peabody, Melvin Sheffler of Hartford, Robert Sheffler of Wichita and William Sheffler of Moundridge; six sisters, Judy Cullen, Leann Newell, Betty Sheffler and Vivian Marie Smith, all of Newton, Kay Lincoln of Phoenix, Ariz., and Eileen Spangler of El Dorado; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Marcelus Sheffler; and two sisters, Ruby Church and Erlene Sigle.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Morgan from First Church of the Nazarene in Newton. Burial will be in the Restlawn Garden's of Memory. Friends may call until 9 p.m. today at Petersen Funeral Home.

Memorials have been established with the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
