Ann EmiLee Watchous

Ann EmiLee Watchous, 43, geologist and owner of the Legacy Oil Company in Newton, died Friday (Aug. 28, 1998) at Ness City.

She was born November 21, 1954, in Wichita to Robert Wayne Watchous and Vera Holick Watchous. Her mother survives of rural Newton.

She was a former resident of Wichita and lived in rural Newton.

Other survivors include: fiancee, Tal Tammen of Bazine; and nephew, Klee Watchous. She was preceded in death by her father; and one sister, Lyn Mauree.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday (September 3, 1998) at Yentruoc Lodge in rural Newton with the Rev. Marrell Cornwell officiating. Burial will be in the Green Valley Cemetery in Furley. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 2, 1998) at Bob Lamb Funeral Home in Whitewater. Family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday (Sept. 1, 1998) at the funeral home.  Memorials have been established with Caring Hands Humane Society in Newton and Kansas Geological Foundation in Wichita in care of the funeral home.
