C. Nadine Alderson

C. Nadine Alderson, 77, 904 S.E. Second, billing clerk for the water department for the City of Newton, retiring after 25 years, died Tuesday (May 25, 1999) at her residence.

She was born Jan. 31, 1922, in Howard to Raymond and Fern Forsyth Anderson. She married E.L. "Eddie" Alderson July 13, 1940, in El Dorado. He preceded her in death April 12, 1999.

She was a member of St. Luke Presbyterian Church for 53 years. She was a graduate of Howard High School in Howard. She enjoyed yard work, flowers and singing with the Golden Notes.

Survivors include: one son, Larry L. Alderson of Wichita; one daughter, Linda L. Friesen of rural Cleveland, Okla.; one brother, Bill R. Anderson of Eudora; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Keazirian from St. Luke Presbyterian Church officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard.

Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials have been established with St. Luke Presbyterian Church in care of the funeral home.
