Mable Nicodemus, 93, died Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Newton Medical Center. She was born September 5, 1920 in Newton to Gilbert and Chloe Meiers Taylor. On April 21, 1940 she married Don "Nick" Nicodemus in Liindsborg and he preceded her in death on October 5, 1994.
Mable was a long time active member of Salem United Methodist Church in Newton. She enjoyed crocheting and playing cards and was a member of the Circle 8 square and round dance club. she enjoyed the friends she made duriing square dances. She was an avid KU basketball fan and enjoyed following the team. She also looked forward to spending time with her loving family and many friends.
Mable is survived by her daughter, Debbie Grob of Newton; 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two daughters, Bonnie Jean Conyers and Mary Lou Abrahms; brother, Merrill Taylor and sister, Marie Taylor McDonald.
Services were held April 17, 2014 at Salem United Methodist Church in Newton. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
