   Emma Reimer of Loveland, Colorado went to be with the Lord on August 27, 2014 at North Shhore Health and Rehaab in Loveland, Colorado. She was born December 29, 1920 in Goessel to Abrahaam and Elizabeth Schmidt.  She was born the seventh  of her parent's children.  The 10 births were spread out over 20 years.  Because of the large family, she helped raise her younger siblings.  She lived on a farm that was homesteaded by her grandfather, Jacob Schmidt.  There
were maany chores to share on the farm like gathering kindling, milking the cows, cleaning the milk house and utensils , doing laundry and stacking hay.  Her family celebrated birthdays and other occasions by making homemade ice cream.  As a teenaager, she liked sewing and with the large family there was always something that needed to be sewn.

   Her family attended Tablr Mennonite Church which was an important part of her life growing up.

   While a sophomore iin high school, she met Elmer Reimer.   She graduated from Goessel High School  in 1939.  During their engagement, they went to churchh functions, ball games and plays together.  On March 19, 1942 they married in Goessell when she was 20.

   During their married life they lived on a farm wesst of Goessel where they rented land and farmed and welcomed their first daughter, Joy.  They later moved to another farm which was north of Newton, and had their second daughter, Beverly.  They moved to Newton in 1949 where their family was completed with the birth of a son Warren.

   The first years of married life were hard because of World War II.  Elmer was exempt from serving in the armed forces because he was farming.  Emma helped to make ends meet by baking, making childrenn's clothes or raising a big garden.

   In 1967 Elmer and Ema moved to Loveland, Colorado where they purchased a Mobil Oil Bulk Agencyand Emma worked for a short time as a sseamstress at a local lcleaners.

   Emma's favorite activities were sewing quilting, gardening, reading and walking through the neighborhood.  She also enjoyed Pies, Cookies and cinnamon rolls.

   Later years for Emma and Elmer were spent living at the Wexford Commons and North Shore Health and Rehab in Loveland. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and her husband in 2012.  Survivors: Joy (Will) Boschman of Bakersville, California; Beverly (Wayne) Fast of Newton and Warren (Cathy) Reimer of Loveland Colorado.

   A memorial service will be September 6 in Loveland, Colorado.  Private Family Inurnment will be held at Restlawn Memory Gardens in Newton.
