Obituary
NEWTON – Treva O. Bogart, 90, passed away Jan. 1, 2016, at
Asbury Park of Newton.
She was born November 20, 1925, in Leon. She was the
daughter of James and Naomi (Ballinger) Bloom. She was a housekeeper for 26
years at Asbury Park, working until she was 84 years old. On June 8, 1946, she
was united in marriage to Elmer Earl Bogart, he preceded her in death in August
of 1973. She was also preceded by siblings James Bloom, Lila Whiteside and
Naomi Schell. She is survived by her sons Earl Calvin Bogart of Salina and
David Eugene Bogart of Valley Center; her daughters Jeannine Van Hooser of
Orrick, Missouri, Trula Crum of Newton and Diana Bogart of Hillsboro; a sister,
Loretta Britt of Atlanta; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one
great-great grandchild.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, (Jan.
9, 2016) at the Leon Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established for the Arthritis
Foundation in care of Lamb Funeral Home, 120 S Main, Whitewater, KS, 67154.
