John H. Nold

SEDGWICK -- John H. Nold, 70, general foreman at Raytheon Aircraft in Wichita and owner and operator of Nold Heating & Air in Sedgwick, died Tuesday (Jan. 27, 2004) at his residence. He was born Aug. 16, 1933, to John A. and Regina M. (Heiman) Nold in Humboldt. They preceded him in death. He married Doris Jean King March 7, 1953, in Humboldt. She survives of the home. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Halstead. He was a member of the Sedgwick Lions Club and Hicks-Davison American Legion Post No. 268 of Sedgwick.

Other survivors include: four sons, John A Nold of Valley Center; Jerry Nold of Castaic, Calif., and Jim Nold and Joe Nold, both of Augusta; a daughter; Julie Flory of Halstead; a brother; Paul Nold of Wichita; a sister, Dorothy Cockrell of Lake Isabella, Calif.; 20 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He also was preceded in death by: a son, Jeffrey Nold; an infant son, Sean Joseph Nold; five brothers, Clem Nold, Joseph Mold, L. C. Nold, Robert Nold and F. W. Nold; and two sisters, Connie Nordt and Lorraine Wirth.

Family will greet friends from 2 to 5 p. m. Thursday at Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead.

Recitation of the rosary will be 7 p. m. Thursday at Scared Heart Catholic Church in Halstead.

Funeral service will be 10 a. m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Newton with Father Thomas Wal and Father Sean O'Shea officiating.

Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Sedgwick.

Memorials have been established with the American Cancer Society, Central Homecare & Hopice and the Sedgwick Ambulance Department, all in care of Kaufman Funeral Home, 418 Chestnut Street, Halstead, KS. 67056.
