Obituary: Antero Gloria Romero

Antero Gloria Romero, 81, died Sunday (Nov. 25, 2012) at his home in Newton. He was born on Aug. 16, 1931, in Durango, Mexico, the son of Geronima Romero and Indalecio Gloria. He married Maria Petra Martinez, and they moved to Newton in 1997. He had retired from Tortilla King in Moundridge, where he worked in the packaging department. Survivors include his wife, Maria Gloria of the home; sons, Andres Gloria of Moundrige and Felipe Gloria of McPherson; daughters, Maria Silvia Gloria Martinez of Mexico, Guadalupe Triana, Maria Pilar Hinojos, Maria Carmela Gloria and Maria Gonzalez, all of Newton, and Patricia Huerta of Moudridge; sister, Maria Gloria of Mexico; 31 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 29, 2012) at the Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, Newton. Friends may call at the funeral home 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday. Arrangements are by Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, Newton.
