West Bignall Arrested

Evening Kansan-Republican

Night Watchman Mart Covert arrested West Bignall the fore part of the week and placed him in the city holdover until morning, when the latter appeared before the police judge and pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly.  He was fined five dollars and costs.  Mr. Covert could have placed a charge against him for resisting an officer, but let it go this time.  (c) HCGS.  The Evening Kansan-Republican, Newton, Kansas.  Friday, September 20, 1901.  Page 4.
