Obituary

Bettie Joaquin Bradley, 77, went home on Sunday (Aug. 26, 2012). She was born on Nov. 11, 1934, in Monet, Mo., the daughter of Walter Benjamin and Mattie Naomi Kennedy Bradley. Bettie graduated from high school in Monet in 1952. Bettie had traveled extensively abroad while living in Germany. She moved from Purdy, Mo., to Newton in 1988, after which she worked at Axtell Clinic in the lab as a secretary, until retiring in 2000. Survivors include her sister, Anne (Pat) Crum of Weston, Colo.; her brother, James Bradley of Parkville, Pa.; three brothers; and two nieces, along with their families. At her request, no services will be conducted as cremation has been effected. A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
