Obituary
Jennie Odessa (Anderson) Beneke of
Newbury Park, California, passed away Jan. 24, 2018, after a lengthy
illness. Jennie was a longtime resident of Newton. She was born in
Newton on Oct. 9, 1930, to Joy D. and Pearl Anderson.
She attended school in Newton and
worked for SW Bell until she moved to California. There, she met and
married Norman Beneke on Aug. 16, 1975.
She was preceded in death by her
husband; her parents; infant brothers, Walter and Billy; sisters:
Mary Anderson, Janie McCall and Martha Overholt; and brothers: Joy
(Johnny), Eldo, Lynn, Lyle, Paul and Don.
She is survived by many nieces and
nephews; and her daughters, Joy Flores (Ralph) and Jeanne Thornton
(Don), and their children.
The family had a small memorial service
at her church in California and this summer her ashes will be brought
back to Newton for a small memorial service, then taken to Bushton to
be buried with her husband.
