Goldie L. Weaver

HESSTON -- Goldie L. Weaver, 94, died Monday (March 15, 2004) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston. She was born Feb. 12, 1910, to Lewis Karl and Mary Caroline (Molzen) Hawkey in Newton. They preceded her in death. She married Earl H. Weaver April 19, 1930, in Towanda. He preceded her in death Aug. 31, 1988. She was a member of Highland Trinity United Church of Christ in rural Hesston and Eastern Star. Survivors include: four daughters, Nayda Malmin of Hesston, Judith Parker of Rio Rico, Ariz., and Karen Phillips and Mary Lou Washburn, both of Wichita; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p. m. Wednesday at Petersen Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be 9:30 a. m. Thursday at Hesston City Cemetery.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a. m. Thursday at Schowalter Villa Chapel with Chaplain Beverly Baumgartner of Schowalter Villa officiating.

Burial will be in Hesston City Cemetery.

Memorials have been established with the Schowalter Villa Good Samaritan Fund in care of the funeral home.
