Queenie E. Bockhaus
SEDGWICK - Queenie E. Bockhaus, 80, of
Sedgwick died Monday (Dec. 5, 2005) at Sedgwick Healthcare Center in
Sedgwick. She was born to Steve and Callie (Sharrah) Smith Dec. 13,
1924 at Cardin, Okla. They precede her in death. She married Walter
G. Bockhaus Sept. 17, 1974, at Halstead. He preceded her in death.
She was a retired nurse's aide who worked at the Halstead Nursing
Center and a member of the Sedgwick United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Buddy Martin
of Sedgwick; two daughters, Karen Haas of Grove, Okla. And Betty
Bockhaus of Sedgwick; a sister; Janie Sandlian of Kerrville, Texas;
and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two
daughters, Janet and Hazel Lowe; two brothers, Steve and Clyde Smith;
and infant brother; and a sister, Juanita Martin.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p. m.
today at Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead. Rev. Kate Johnson-Martin
will officiate graveside service 2 p. m. Wednesday at Greenwood
Cemetery, 6931 W. 47th South, Wichita.
