Kansan carrier dies from
accident injuries
The driver of a car that lost
control during windy conditions on a rural Harvey County road Friday died
during the weekend.
Wind may have been a factor
in a roll-over accident that killed the car's driver, Adele Laing of Newton.
The car was traveling
southbound on Emma Creek Road about one-half mile north of U.S. Highway 50
about 3 p.m. Friday when the vehicle lost control and rolled into a farm field.
Laing was ejected from the
vehicle and taken from the scene to a Wichita-area hospital in critical condition.
A passenger, Christy Hunter,
was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
Laing's infant son was in the
vehicle but was strapped into a child safety seat. He was not hurt but was
taken to an area hospital for observation.
