Frances L. Berger
PEABODY - Frances L. Berger, 69, passed away Saturday (Dec.
29, 2007) at her residence in Peabody.
She was born Jan. 13, 1938, in Newton, the daughter of
Edward R. and Helen (Klassen) Schmidt. They preceded her in death.
She attended Clearwater High School and St. Francis Nursing
School in Wichita.
She married Ervin Berger on June 29, 1958, in Clearwater. He
survives of the home.
She enjoyed being with her family, crocheting, quilting,
painting, reading, traveling and playing the piano. She loved to collect
things; among her many collections is her lighthouse collection.
She is also survived by sons, Michael and Cheryl Berger of
Peabody, Gary and Sue Berger of Clearwater and Scott and Jennifer Berger of
Monroe, N.Y.; a daughter, Cathy (Berger) and Kent Henry of Burns; and eight
grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Broadway
Colonial Funeral Home in Newton, with family present from 6 to 7 p.m.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Peabody
Christian Church, with Pastor Jim Pohlman officiating.
Burial will be at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Peabody.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to
Peabody Christian Church, Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice or Kansas Cancer Center
in care of the funeral home.
