Mildred Fern Bauer

HESSTON - Mildred Fern Bauer, 89, peaceably went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday (Sept. 15, 2007).

She strived to live a faithful life, to please her heavenly father and to serve others. She was a church pianist, Sunday School teacher and involved in many church and community activities. She was a caring mother and steadfast wife, a gracious host, accepting anyone and she prayed for everyone she knew.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Entz of Hesston; her son, Jim Bauer of Augusta, Ga.; and her three grandsons, Nathan Boschmann of Ault, Colo., Roland Boschmann of Denver, Colo. and Darrick Boschmann of Portland, Ore.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John W. Bauer; her brother, Roland, and her sister, Norma Jean.

Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Schowalter Villa Chapel in Hesston.

Service will be at 2 p.m Saturday at the Schowalter Villa Chapel (200 W. Cedar) in Hesston and a service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hanston Mennonite Church in Hanston. Burial will follow in the Hanston Mennonite Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to either the Hanston Mennonite Church or the Schowalter Villa Good Samaritan Fund in care of the Miller Funeral Home.
