Johanna A. Rose

HESSTON - Johanna A. Rose, 86, died Thursday (May 18, 2006) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.

She was born July 6, 1919, to Ruben James Albert and Anna J. (Zarnowski) Dean in Arkansas City. They preceded her in death. She married Harold Rose in 1957. He preceded her in death in 1970.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Newton. She was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and the Red Hatters of Hesston. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting and making jewelry. Joanna also enjoyed spending time with her friends and family eating out.

Survivors include: a daughter, Kathryn Fuller of Newton; and a son, Richard Fuller of Orlando, Fla.; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Petersen Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Calvary Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Mainzer of St. Mary's Catholic Church officiating.

Memorials have been established with the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
