Pedestrian struck by truck
dies of injuries
A Newton woman who was struck
by a car at Fifth and Main Thursday evening died of injuries at Via Christi
Medical Center-St. Francis Campus Sunday night.

Muse, ran out in front of a pickup truck driven by Shane Buzzell, 28, of
Newton, Lt. Eric Murphy of the Newton Police Department said.
Buzzell was turning south
onto Main from Fifth when Hultgren came from behind some other vehicles, Murphy
said.
He said the driver had a
green light and the pedestrian was not in a crosswalk.
Murphy said the full report
had not been released and the case still was under investigation, but he did
not anticipate any charges being brought against the driver.
