Death Caused From Drug Overdose
An accidental drug overdose caused the death of Ardell Jones, 48, of Newton, who was found dead in a home in the 8000 block of North West Road near Hesston.
On March 30, Jones, as well as another 55-year-old man, were found in the house by acquaintances, who called 911. When EMS made it to the scene, they found Jones dead and the other man, Brian Heathcock, who lived in the home, not breathing. They performed life-saving measures for that man. He was revived and hospitalized.
Brian Heathcock has since been released from the hospital.
